Today, AmpUp is expanding our geographic reach by launching our full service EV charging solution in Canada. This launch marks AmpUp’s continued commitment to making electric vehicle charging infrastructure widely available, easily accessible, and simple to use to enable a cleaner future.
In Q4 2022, battery electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles broke double digits market share for the first time at 10.2% of total light duty vehicles in Canada. AmpUp is ready to support our EV charging hardware partners across North America as they respond to the high demand brought on by the emobility revolution.
AmpUp has had a presence in Canada since 2020, but will now be enabling additional features that streamline the Canadian customer experience. The AmpUp charging network now supports CAN$ currency, and self-pay subscription access is now available in the region for a better customer experience. Additionally, the Canadian network connection is supported by Twilio’s Super SIM installed in AmpUp-powered EV chargers.
